Maria and Bruce are both accomplished cooks who love to please, Maria’s whiskey porridge is a breakfast experience not to be missed and Bruce’s smoked salmon with scrambled eggs gives a different twist on this classic combination. Our full English is second to none with meats sourced from our excellent local butcher.

Set in open countryside between Welford-on-Avon and Long Marston, the Granary is only a short drive away from village shops, butchers, post office, churches, pubs and great restaurants. Within easy reach there is a fantastic choice of places to visit and explore, including Stratford-upon-Avon, medieval Warwick, regency Leamington Spa and the Cotswolds. To say that the area has something for everyone is no exaggeration. Whether your interests include horse racing, horticulture, history or hang gliding, you will not be disappointed!

The accommodation offers a comfortable open plan sitting room with coal effect open fire.

There is additional accommodation available upstairs, this can be let in addition to the Granary but not separately.

There is a fully equipped Kitchen with gas hob, oven, microwave, fridge freezer and washing machine. You will have everything that you need to cook and serve fantastic meals.

Linking the kitchen with the sitting room, this spacious area has a generous table with more than enough room for everyone.

There is a sunny private garden with a patio, garden furniture and an optional barbeque.

The bedroom has a king sized bed, dressing area with double fitted wardrobe and a chest of drawers.

With bath, free-standing shower, WC and basin.

Stratford and the surrounding area area have a fantastic variety of places which will accommodate all tastes and suit everyones pocket. We will be happy to recommend a place to suit you.

There are 4 great pubs nearby, The Shakespeare and The Masons Arms have a popular local following for bar meals and offer a takeaway service. The Bell is well known for its excellent restaurant and The Four Alls, set on the edge of the Avon is the perfect place for a summer afternoon or evening.

The friendly family butchers, two general stores, farm shops and the post office are all a short drive away. There is a good garage nearby.

If you enjoy walking, there are riverside walks and you can follow the River Avon to Stratford. The Greenway, the former Cheltenham to Stratford railway line which is now used as a cycle and footpath to Stratford, offers an easy bike ride of 2 1/2 miles or half an hours walk into town. There is cycle hire available at the Stratford end of the Greenway and cafes at both ends in restored railway carriages. We can arrange for hired bikes to be brought to The Granary for you and as keen cyclists ourselves we can advise you on some fantastic routes.

The nearby Welford golf course is a popular and friendly pay-and-play course. Other local courses are at Bidford on Avon, Stratford on Avon, Broadway, Stratford Oaks and Ingon Manor.

The Royal Shakespeare Theatre has recently reopened after a massive refurbishment and you will be able to see 'Whats On' from their website which will include the Swan Theatre and the Courtyard theatre.

Shakespeare’s Birth Place Trust offer visitors the chance to explore the many sites in and around Stratford connected with William Shakespeare. There are many fascinating events throughout the year and there is a great deal to see.

The largest and one of the most popular attractions in the area is Warwick Castle, where you can easily spend a whole day enjoying the surroundings and the spectacular re-enactments.

Lovers of antiques and collectables will enjoy the nearby antiques barns at Mickleton, Evesham Road Stratford and Barn Antiques.

From M40 J15 and from Stratford upon Avon: Take the A46 towards Stratford.
At the top of the hill take the 1st exit at the island onto the A439 towards Stratford.
On coming into Stratford keep in the left hand lane on the one way system.
Turn left for the A4300 towards Shipston, cross the River Avon.
Turn right at the mini island towards A3400, Shipston.
Over the next island, towards Shipston.
Turn right at the next island (about 50 yards), B4632 towards Broadway.
Turn right after about 1 mile towards Weston and Welford.
Turn left after almost 2 miles towards Long Marston and Pebworth.
After about 1 mile turn right into the entrance of Rumer Hall Cottages.
The Granary is the wing at the side of the first house.

From M5 J9: Take the A46 towards Evesham.
Stay on the A46 for about 20 miles, after you pass Evesham follow signs for Stratford.
Turn right (3rd exit) at island onto the B439 towards Bidford on Avon.
Follow this road through Bidford towards Stratford.
Turn right for Welford on Avon and follow this road through the village and back into open countryside.
Pass Welford golf course and crest Rumer Hill.
At the foot of the hill turn left towards Clifford Chambers and Milcote.
Look for the entrance to Rumer Hall Cottages about 200 yards down on your left.
